Sometimes it can seem overwhelming to decide which charity to donate to so we will be compiling a list every month of fun upcoming charity events to help guide you in the right direction.

Despite strides made towards equality in the workplace, women still remain underrepresented in a number of professions. But why does that matter? 89.3 WFPL News Director Erica Peterson will lead a discussion on women in traditionally male-dominated fields. They’ll discuss their experiences in the workplace, as well as the value of having adequate representation of women in fields like art, tech and politics. Panelists include Erika Holmquist-Wall, Grace Simrall, Rep Attica Scott, and Erica Peterson.

Wear a white T-shirt for the walk/run and you will be transformed into a running rainbow as you run through vibrant colors at each of the three color stations you pass. This a non-competitive event is for everyone from young to the young of heart. Proceeds benefit Reagan’s Voice Foundation to continue educating our communities and support anti-Bullying and suicide prevention.

A paint and sip class with an extra dose of heart and soul. When you buy a seat in this class you will also be making a donation to Derby City Dog Rescue.
Saturday, April 21 @ The Historic State Theatre 6PM
This will highlight nature conservation and preservation efforts from around the world, nation, and commonwealth of Kentucky. The reception will feature several nature organizations and sponsors. Don’t miss this exciting Earth Day celebration! All funds raised will help fund the Greenspace “Bridges to Nature” Project at Freeman Lake Park.
